He recounted that Hersov approached him, saying, “G, I want to talk to you one-on-one. We wish to assist P with funding.” McKenzie then requested, “How a lot funding are you speaking about?” to which Hersov replied, “R200 million.” Gayton defined that the R200 million Rob Hersov provided was meant to help his election marketing campaign, however there was a contract that required his signature.

“He emailed the contract, and the entire NEC reviewed it. There have been two issues within the contract that we didn’t like: first, they needed to share R2 billion amongst the events.
