Gauteng residents are warned to count on extreme thunderstorms leading to heavy rain from Wednesday night into Thursday, says the SA Climate Service.
Temperatures are anticipated to peak within the mid-teens in Pretoria and Johannesburg on Thursday, with an 80 % probability of rain predicted.
This climate is attributable to a cut-off low system that made landfall over the western inside of the nation on Wednesday morning and is transferring slowly eastward.
