Welcome to “The Killing Fields.” The Brooklyn neighborhood of East New York has the highest number of unsolved homicides in the city. Much of the crime can be traced back to shady mortgage deals and housing scams that tore the neighborhood apart. Author Stacy Horn detailed to The Post a few of the most chilling true-crime stories over the decades, from strangulation to stray bullets and even a self-described “Zodiac II” serial killer.
