Former Secretary of State John Kerry took a defensive posture after an MSNBC host identified that Russia had annexed Crimea below his watch through the Obama administration.
MSNBC’s Chris Jansing spoke with Kerry from contained in the Vatican on Friday forward of Pope Francis’ Saturday funeral. Jansing talked about how Pope Francis was a “voice for peace” and had been outspoken in regards to the ongoing warfare between Russia and Ukraine.
“You have been Secretary of State when Russia annexed Crimea,” Jansing mentioned. “And I need to ask you-“
