Social media customers are calling for the controversial Podcast and Chill with Mac G to be cancelled after the host made derogatory feedback about media character Minnie Dlamini.
In an episode aired final week, MacGyver ‘Mac G’ Mukwevho and his co-hosts had been discussing Dlamini’s break-up with plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa, when Mac G questioned why she “can not hold males”. He then mentioned it’s as a result of her non-public elements odor disagreeable.
“I’m telling you, man, there’s gotta be one thing improper along with her. Possibly her c**chie smells or one thing. It’s one thing that occurs, particularly with these scorching ladies,” he informed his co-hosts Sol Phenduka, Ghost Woman and Mashabela.
His remarks didn’t sit effectively with listeners who accused him of being misogynistic and at all times offending girls.
The Moja Love TV channel launched a press release distancing themselves from the podcaster and condemning his behaviour.
“MacG’s persistent use of derogatory language in direction of girls, decreasing them to vulgar slurs and objectifying their our bodies, is just not solely offensive, it’s a damaging reinforcement of gender-based disrespect. Such behaviour has no place in society and media particularly, the place voices ought to uplift, not degrade,” it wrote.
“[…] We’ll proceed to problem such rhetoric each time it arises. To MacG and others, who use their platforms carelessly: accountability is just not optionally available. We urge audiences and broadcasters alike to reject sexist vitriol and demand higher. Respect isn’t a privilege, it’s a proper.”
Dr Monaisa took to Instagram to shoot again on the podcaster: “@macgunleashed, what crap is that this? I feel you and @solphenduka have actually proven us all that you’ve an issue with profitable girls! I stand for the integrity of girls, bro. These hardworking, respectful folks deserve greater than you little weasels.”
It isn’t the primary time that the podcast has landed in scorching water over comparable misogynistic language. Over the previous years, the podcast has been sued by a number of feminine celebrities, equivalent to Amanda du Pont and Nkosazana Daughter, who had been each victims of derogatory feedback made by the present’s hosts.
